Grades 5 through 8

Our students in Grades 5 through 8 will explore a variety of prayer and liturgical experiences centering around the seasons of our Church Year, with special emphasis on Advent and Lent. These are wonderful opportunities for our young people to experience first hand the cycles of our liturgical calendar and include five community evenings designed as intergenerational and family friendly events.

In the classroom, our 5th and 6th graders will be studying the Old Testament, while our 7th and 8th graders will study the Gospels and Contemporary Discipleship. All four groups will spend time discussing the Sunday readings, and will participate in ongoing service and outreach opportunities throughout the year.

Our Middle school program also participates in five parish Community Evenings that include family oriented components. The role of the family in faith formation is foundational, and these pieces will help parents live out their roles as primary teachers for their children, while allowing the entire family to grow through experiences of prayer, liturgy, service, outreach and celebration.
