Sometimes It's Okay To Be the Center of Some Attention!
|
At times, it may be easier to bake the brownies, write the card, or offer the prayer for someone in need than to be on the receiving end. Cabrini members have traditionally been very eager to support and to help one another in times of need. The Pastoral Care Committee, now in its 12th year, serves as one of the ways of making these connections within the community. Some of the services the committee can help arrange are: Communion, prayers, and/or anointing for a person who is ill, home-bound, or in the hospital; providing meals for an individual or family who needs some TLC due to things like illness, new baby, stressful life changes, or death in the family; welcoming and helping someone who is new to find one's niche in the parish; support with a listening ear for someone who is in the midst of a challenging experience and seeks understanding from another who has “been there.” When you or someone you know at Cabrini is in need of some “Cabrini Care” from other parishioners, please let us know. Each week the Pastoral Care contact person for the month is listed in the bulletin with a phone number. |
