Each of us is called to continue growing in faith throughout our lives, and the Education Committee seeks to be one source of deeper reflection and understanding of what it means to be faithful people in our daily lives.

One Read 2015: Toward a Healthy Christian Theology of Sexuality is the 2015 Cabrini One Read
Booklet pdf downloadable:

“In conjunction with Pope’s (Francis) Synod on the Family, this position paper addresses sensitive issues related to sexuality.  Our clergy have lost their moral authority in this area due to the scandals; rape is increasing on campuses; (and) each parish needs to prepare their young people in areas of ethical sexual behavior” (Diane Sineps). Mary Beth St. Hilaire stated the reason Cabrini should read this booklet is to “help articulate a new vision of sexuality as a blessing…not a sin."
All four authors of this work are a part of our Cabrini Community: Mary Beth St. Hilaire (Stein), Mary Ellen Jordan, Diane Sineps, and Patty Thorsen.  They are willing to participate in a kickoff introduction, small group discussions, and gathering the discussion groups input at a closing discussion.  As they stated in their Introduction, they “offer this paper as a basis for dialogue and discernment. … We welcome comments and criticism, even negative criticism, as a way to move closer to truth.”
